Story
I'm a Sydney-based author of the middle-grade novel Quark’s Academy and the picture book Something for Fleur. Both books are being released in Turkey and are available online in the USA and Canada. Both books were selected for the 2019 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge. Quark’s Academy was also one of the few selected texts for the CBCA Readers Cup for 2019 and shortlisted for the 2019 Western Australian Young Reader’s Book Award.
Every Monday, I teach creative writing classes to young people via Westwords. I've been a speaker at several events, including the Sharjah Children’s Festival, CBCA events, as well as writing festivals, including Writers Unleashed.
Children’s books, in my opinion, are the best. They are the ones that shape us, give us hope, help us find our place in the world…and take us away to wonderful places.
